- When eye revision surgery is needed
- What's your concern?

Line coming undone / fading
The double eyelid has come undone, making the eyes look sleepy, or multiple lines (extra folds) have formed

Line too low (hidden crease)
The double eyelid has become so narrow that the line is barely visible when the eyes are open. The eyes look droopy, and the surgery seems to have had little effect.

Sausage eyes (a high or thick double eyelid line)
The fold looks thick and heavy, as if the swelling never went down, and it's obvious you've had surgery

Mismatched eyes (asymmetry)
The two lines differ in height or shape, so the eyes look unbalanced
- · Severe scarring
- Incision marks or indented scars are clearly visible when the eyes are closed

Multiple double eyelid lines
The double eyelid has come undone, making the eyes look sleepy, or multiple lines (extra folds) have formed
Worried about revision surgery? When is the right time?
We understand better than anyone how much you want to fix it as soon as possible.
It must be upsetting every time you look in the mirror, but a successful revision requires giving your skin time to recover. We recommend waiting “6 months or more,” when damaged tissue has softened and a proper assessment can be made.
That said, if you need revision surgery, you shouldn't put it off. If you can't close your eyes or have serious functional problems, a prompt revision may be necessary.
At DOY JUN Plastic Surgery, an accurate diagnosis tells us whether now is the time to wait or the time for treatment, so we can help make this your last revision.
Your eyes' beauty restored, and your confidence back.

How eye revision surgery is performed

01. Cause analysis and design
We identify why the previous surgery failed and create a personalized design.

02. Clearing the old line
We clear away the double eyelid line and scar tissue left by the previous surgery.

03. Creating a new line
A fine incision is made along the designed line to create a new double eyelid.

04. Completing the surgery
Precise finishing work completes your eye shape without the need for another revision.

Line coming undone / fading
A double eyelid line that was secured too weakly can come undone over time. Of the available methods, we use the incisional approach if you want a definite line.

Line too low (hidden crease)
If the double eyelid has become lower because the eyelid skin has drooped, we remove the sagging skin through an incision and then create the double eyelid line you want.

Sausage eyes (a high or thick double eyelid line)
High double eyelid line: We set the line at the right height and secure it anew, then remove skin and soft tissue to erase the old line.
Weak eye-opening muscles: Weak eye-opening muscles make the fold look thicker, so we strengthen them with ptosis correction.
Thick skin: Sausage eyes improve only when the fold is made thinner than the existing line

Mismatched eyes (asymmetry)
Eyes of different sizes: If a different amount of the iris shows in each eye, ptosis correction can be performed. If the outer corners sit at different heights, lateral and lower canthoplasty can be performed
Double eyelids of different sizes: A sub-brow lift if the skin has sagged, revision surgery if the double eyelid designs differ, and upper eyelid fat grafting if one upper eyelid is more hollow than the other
Eyebrows at different heights: This can be caused by ptosis (a drooping eyelid) on one side, so we perform ptosis correction or a forehead lift
- · Severe scarring
- We remove the unnecessary scarred tissue and then correct the double eyelid line. If there isn't enough eyelid tissue, eyelid fat grafting may be performed.

Multiple double eyelid lines
If the double eyelid has come undone: We secure the double eyelid line again.
If there isn't enough soft tissue above the eye: Volume can be restored with fat grafting.
Adhesions from previous surgery: We release the adhesions, then reposition and secure the fat and muscle.
Key points of our eye revision surgery
